Pole Vaults

The Pole vault is the most technical of all the Athletic events. In this athletic event, a long, flexible pole is used as aid to leap over a horizontal bar. The bar is kept at a certain height supported by two upright stands. The jumper has to clearly cross the bar without knocking it down. The landing area is well covered with solid pieces of thick foam, in order to minimize any chances of injury. Poles are ingeniously produced from composites such as fiberglass and carbon-fiber.
