Cue stick or simply Cue, is a long tapering rod, tipped with a soft leather pad, and used to strike the cue ball in cue sports of billiards, pool, snooker etc. There are length and weight restrictions for the cue sticks. The minimum length of the cue should be 40 inches, while the maximum weight of it should be 25 oz. The width of cue tip is recommended to be 14mm. Cue sticks are mainly produced from wood. But sometimes, the wood is also covered with other materials such as graphite or fiberglass. The tip of cue should not scratch or damage the ball or table surface. And therefore, the cue tip is commonly made of processed leather or any other elastic material.
